Some interesting facts about Vancouver:

  • Alcohol cannot be purchased in grocery stores, which is possible in most parts of the world (including the United States).
    Alcohol must be purchased in a Government Liquor store or licensed beer and wine store.

  • Vancouverites “eat out” more than in any other North American city. With more restaurants opening up per capita each year than most large cities,
    its a dining-out options galore. Vancouverites are also notorious for tipping well (from taxi drivers, local baristas to servers and bartenders).

  • The climate of British Columbia rivals that of the great wine-making regions of Europe making it the ideal location in Canada for wineries producing delectable wines. The long dry summers and fertile soils lend themselves to the growing of different varieties of grape vines.
